Hello, cherished community member! We're so excited you're considering embarking on your transformative journey in technology with the Charity IT Association (CITA). Let's take a detailed look at the steps to get you started:

Step 1: Register Your Organisation Free-of-Charge

Your gateway to getting the most out of CITA is straightforward – register your charity with us! All that is required are a few key details about your organisation. Once registered, you can immediately start tapping into our suite of services, all aimed at advancing your cause:

  • CITA Review

  • CITA Advisory

  • CITA Delivery

Step 2: Craft Your Project Brief

Your unique tech needs are crucial; hence comes the vital role of the Project Brief. Try shaping a simple outline of the work that needs to be done and what you're seeking assistance with from a volunteer. Our supportive CITA team will review your brief, get in touch if necessary, and ensure its approved to go live on our platform.

Step 3: Engage with Volunteers

Soon enough, volunteers will express interest in your project! While we strive to provide a shortlist within a week, the application time can vary. Once the applications are in, review them and feel empowered to select the volunteer who you believe will best serve your cause.

Step 4: Nurture Your Partnership

We encourage an introductory session with your chosen volunteer to discuss the project brief in more depth, establish expectations, timelines, and forge a productive working relationship. If you feel the match is not ideal, CITA is at hand to help find a better fit.

Step 5: Collaborate Fruitfully

Once you're satisfied with your chosen volunteer, it's go-time! Draft your Project Agreement, and begin recording your progress using our online system, designed for your convenience.

Step 6: Make a Difference with CITA

CITA depends on donations and grants from you, our valuable community members, to continue providing much-needed support. For charities with an annual income exceeding £50,000, we request a small, one-off administrative contribution when a project commences. For charities with an annual income below this figure, contributions are voluntary. This gesture enhances our capacity to keep serving you effectively.

  • CITA Review: £100

  • CITA Advisory: £250

  • CITA Delivery: £250

Your journey with CITA is more than pairing with an IT expert volunteer; it's about leveraging technology to empower your strategic mission and make a more significant impact!

Thank you for being part of our community. Together, we can achieve even more. Let's transform the world together through the power of charity and technology!
